New Office for Mac install
I just purchased and installed Office:Mac 2008, I am unable to run any of the
office products. When you click on any of them the Microsoft Office setup
assistant starts an would like to register the product. Web window start
trying to connect to Mactopia and just clocks without success. Any
suggestions?. I have tried removing an d re-installing without success....

Office Communicator Do Not Disturb
We have Office Communicator installed on our network. We are using the phone
functions of OC. When we put OC in Do Not Disturb (DND) it changes the phone
to DND and vice versa if we take OC off DND it takes the phone off DND (That
is all working good). The issue I am having is when the users put the OC on
DND, and let their pc sit for 10 minutes the screen saver comes on, and
changes ...

Can purchase an additional license?
I have a copy of MS Office 2007 Small Business and want to install it on
another computer as well. Is it possible to purchase just the license
(preferably cheaper) and use the same software, or do I have to get a new
copy? I don't need to install on 5 or more....

Invitation to join Groove workspace not working
I am using Office 2007 as are my colleagues. One of them has sent me an
invitation to join a workspace which I accepted. When I accepted I got a
message that the file would be downloaded when the person seding the invite
is online. Her status shows as online, but nothing has happened and I do not
see the shared workspace anywhere. Is there another step I should be taking?

Where are my fonts (specifically Broadway)?
I had Office 2003 Student and Teacher Edition loaded on my old computer at
work. The computer was stolen, and when I have installed the program on our
new computer (same make/model, just updated) I am missing a ton of fonts. The
help sections states that not all fonts are downloaded with the "typical
set-up", but I can not find anywhere how to get those fonts again. I have

Why is document scanning not working?
I'm attempting to use document scanning in Microsoft Office Tools. I get an
error box - 'Microsoft Document Scanning has encountered a problem and needs
to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience'. All I can do is send the
error report.
I've used this in the past with no problem. What should I do? ...

Scanning OCR Documents into Word 2007 format issue
I am using a document program called Readiris and it is used for scanning
forms and then being able to send into Microsoft Word or Adobe so you can
fill out just as you would on a regular typewriter and then print.
When I scan using Readiris into Word 2007, the format keeps changing it's
not like the format on the original document all check boxes are changed

Microsoft updates for Office 7?
I'm using a Dell XPX M1530 laptop with Vista 64 bit and have MS Office 2003
installed. It seems to run fine on this system
MS Update has notified me of 7 important updates for MS Office 2007, but I
do not have that version installed.
Am I being asked to installed the 2007 updates because of a commonality
between the two programs? Should I or should I not install them?
I'm afraid of...

database connection problems in Word 2003 tables
Using Word 2003. Program written in VB 6. Program opens Word document and
sends the Update Fields command. Has worked fine for years. Recently Word has
opened the Connect to Database dialog box. The computer has System DSN
connections to the correct DB and works fine. Why has the dialog box started

I am not offered the option to add a network user in accounting exp.2009. The
manage users window opens with 2 of the same owners, and will not let me
delete, edit, or add a new user so I can use my home network with it. What to

Outlook Express Message on login
When I boot my pc I get a message box titled Outlook Express with the
following text, "To free up disk space, Outlook Express can compact messages.
This may take a few minutes." with OK and cancel options. I have unistalled
Outlook Express, is this a valid message or is this a virus?...

Automated message sending at particular event occurance.
as soon as someone logs in to microsoft office communicator an automated
message for example like " Welcome " or "HI" should be sent to those who are
logging in for the first time in the day.how can wer send offline messages to
to thers ?

Um... the site... part 2
So... I cleared my browser of all visited sites, went into tools>internet
options>privacy>sites and added this forum... and it still didn't work. That
was on my laptop, and now I am on my desk top and the problem persists. I did
get an email that my first post, "Um...the site" had been responded to... but
still cannot read... even signed in, the first post under office>office

Document scanning with office 2007
Hi,
I have installed office 2007 professional plus, downloaded service pk 1 and
activated document scanning in add/remove program window.
However, when ever I try to scan a document in shuts down immediately giving
an error message: Microsoft Doc Scanning has encountered a problem and needs
to close.
There is no other clue on what is the reason.
I am pretty worried since a lot of my ti...

Microsoft Office Document Imaging
I don't see any difference between openning and importing files with Document
Imaging? I mean when I import a file in a new document, the new document is
renamed to take the imported file name; and when I modify it, the changes are
saved in the original file. Thus, both the new document and the imported one
become the same file. Is that right, or did I misunderstand something?

Office 2000, is it compatible with Vista?
Hoping I could get a question answered...I just purchased a new laptop
running Vista. I use Office 2000 on my desktop (running XP) Is Office 2000
compatible with the laptop? Don't want to install without knowing for sure.

PDF File Maker Missing Error
I just upgraded from Office 2003 Pro to Office 2007 Pro Plus. When I tried
to create an Adobe PDF file from Acrobat 8, I get an error message that I am
missing the PDF filemaker. The message also asked if I wanted to repair. I
went through the whole process but no luck. Acrobat 8 was able to convert my
Word document and my Excel spreadsheet to pdf in Office 2003. What gives
with Off...

Deleting Filenames In "Recent Documents
Will someone please help me?
How can I 'delete' filenames that are no longer used or needed that appear
in the 'Recent Documents' menu that appears as soon as I click-on the Office
Button in the upper left portion of the screen? It is very confusing,
because...
