Different versions of Office?
Just got a new laptop and I have a few questions about Microsoft
Office.
I have a full (Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007) set of CDs
(including separate CDs for Project Professional, Sharepoint Designer
2007, Visio Professional 2007, Office Groove 2007, OneNote 2007). I
bought this a year or so ago when I was at university, the uni had a

Office 2007 Home and Student - need to deactivate?
I have the Home and Student version installed on 3 computers (as allowed).
Now I need to remove one installation (getting rid of that computer) and
re-install it on a new computer. Do I need do do some kind of deactivation so
I won't have any problems when installing on a new computer? Or is it
sufficient to just uninstall?

Installing a new software and having problems! :(
Hi. I just got a new "microsoft office home and student" software CD. When I

office enterprise install ok but programs won't run-not enough mem
I've tried several times to install office 2007 enterprise with no luck. The
install message says it installed correctly but when I try to run excel or
word, it says I don't have enough memory. I know that's not the problem
because I have 4GB on a new HP laptop.

I loaded Office Std from disk--where did it go?
Office Standard seemed to load from the disk that came in the box, but when I
completed the process I went to my START menu and saw no indication that I
had any Office products available (except for the Teacher/Student 60-day free
trial). I have never used Vista before (Vista Home), but I would have
thought it would appear somewhere on the desktop or in the Start menu. When

Home and Student 2007 INstallation
I have a new copy of Office Home and Student for my notebook machine. The
notebook came with a pre-installed trial version of Office 2007. Should I
in.install this before I install my copy of Home and Student 2007?

Office 2007 Suite + VISIO + Project using SCCM Task Sequence
I want to try and setup an SCCM (SP1) Tash Sequence for the install of Office
2007 Enterprise Pro + VISIO + Project. All I could find on this subject was
to make sure everything is set to install silently and to suppress any
messages and completion message.

Error - Unable to find Enterprise.WW\EnterWW.cab
Dear Friends,
While installing office Enterprise 2007 version i am getting subjected
message. I am already providing the path but still it is showing same message
in my computer.
While the same package i am installing in other computer, it is not giving
such error means my package is complete.

Installing disc 2 of Office Pro 2007
After installing the 1st disc of OP 2007, I then went to install disc 2.
However, after the disc is recognized in the drive an error message comes up
saying "Microsoft Office Small Business Setup Wizard has encountered a
problem and needs to close." I've tried installing from a clean startup
(msconfig disable most services) but didn't seem to help. Any ideas? Help

Installing office on new laptop?
In November I purchased a office 07 upgrade from Digital River and purchased
the lock box feature for my pc. Lock box allows me to go back and download
the program for up to 3 years. I'm buying a new lap-top that has a trail
version of office on it. Can I use the lock box feature after the lap-top
trail version expires or will I need to purchase it again? ...

What qualifies as an upgrade product for Publisher?
I have an OEM version of Office Basic Edition 2003. It does not
include Publisher.
I now have a need for Publisher. On the MS site I see that an Upgrade
to Publisher 2007 is $99.99. The site doesn't tell me what owned
product(s) I need in order to qualify for the upgrade.
Must I have an earlier version of Publisher? Or does my Office Basic
Edition 2003 suffice?

troubling installing office 2007
I bought office 2007 last night for new laptop and downloaded it iinstead of
following links in pre-installed trial version. After installation only the
trial version was available. I uninstalled that, rebooted and the top
banners on docs and xls said (trial) I unstalled office, rebooted,

MSOCache in Office 2007
I acquired Office Enterprise 2007 under the Home Use Program.
As you know, this is a vast piece of software. I installed only a small fraction of it. Even so, I have in MSOCache installers and utilities for portions of the suite that I will never use, so the MSOCache is huge. And it continues to grow, as Microsoft Update serves updates for applications I will never use.

I've left the pack with the key on it in the office, and won't be there
for a few days. I just have the CD at home.
Can I install without the key, and input that later?

Office Enterprise will not install
I recently purchased from Microsoft a copy of Office Enterprise 2007. The
instructions say to install the dvd and it will prompt me though the setup
process. I insert the dvd and it installs McAfee and then ends. I just

Changing a setting in already-deployed Office 2007
In our original test deployment of Office 2007, we deployed to about 500
computers, and, found that one setting, Remove the FILE | ARCHIVE menu item
was set, and, should not be. We fixed that in the deployment for future,
but, need to now fix in the existing 500 deployments.
Do I simply make that ONE change in the MSP, and, just deploy that MSP
(we're using SCCM SP1)? Or, do I have to...

Small Business 2007 Serial number?
I installed a trial version of this ages ago but havent' used it for a while.
My old email program is acting up so I want to activate SB 2007 and use
Outlook/Word etc.
I have tried 3 seperate serial numbers but all are invalid.
One is inside a DVD style case and two are on credit card type things.

Default user template location
I am trying to change the default user template directory in office 2007 but
cannot find out where to do this. I have tried framing the question a million

Office Home and Student 2007 shows uninstalled when installed
