Upgrading SP 2.0 to 3.0
Help! - I've 'installed' SP 3.0 over 2.0 but when I run prescan, I get the
following error:
"Error: Cannot determine server status for virtual server: ..."
followed immediately by:
"Microsoft.SharePoint.SPException: Unable to get global configuration data.

Office 2007 on Server 2008 Beta 3
I'm trying to install Office 2007 on Server 2008 Beta 3 to set it up with
Terminal Server RemoteApps.
Installs fine (through Install Applications on Terminal Server) but through
both TS and opening up any of the apps on the server comes up with
"This feature is not available. For more information, contact your system
administrator."

Can Office coexist with Works ?
I wish to install Office 2003 Pro on a computer which has only MS Works.
The owner has witten a book, and is deathly afrais that my installing MS
Office will chnage the formatting in some way
Can Office be installed and keep Works intact and unchanged ?

installing Microsoft office enterprise 2007
Hi there. Me again. I tried loading my Office Enterprise 2007 disc, but got a
message "the specified program requires a newer version of windows". I have
Windows XP loaded on my pc. what "newer version" am I supposed to have? My
Office Enterprise Disc wont allow me to do anything, it just keeps on

Can you use the OCT with Office 2007 Small Business Edition?
I'm wondering if I can use the Office Customization Tool (OCT) with
the Small Business Edition of Office 2007. I know that the tool works
with Enterprise Edition but I can't find any documentation stating
whether or not the OCT is available with the Small Business Edition.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Office Enterprise Edition 2007 Install Problem with LUAs
I have installed Office Enterprise 2007 on an XP-SP2 machine. Accounts
with ADMIN privileges run fine, however Limited User Accounts (LUAs)
have difficulty running office apps. When a LUA opens an Office
application like Word, Excel, etc. an installer dialog box appears due
to a *.msi task runing in the task mamager that is trying to re-

Office 2003 install trouble
I have MS Office that I bought for the old computer and now I'm trying to
install it on the new computer with Vista and it errors and tells me there
is a missing INI file. It installed on my last computer fine and on the
laptop. Both had XP.
Is there something I need to change or add/download to get this to install
with Vista?

UpGrade of server
I believe there is a link to the original UNC install path for each install
of Office. We'll be moving the original install directory to a new server
name (Novell). Can you tell me what affect that will have on Office and
where each registry change should be made?

Licence upgrade question Outlook 2007 from Student & Teacher 2003.
I purchased Student & Teacher 2003 this January and Microsoft was running a
free upgrade to Home & Student 2007. I sent in all the needed paperwork and
recieved the HSE 2007 edition AND Office Outlook 2007 retail! I believe that
was a great offer and great marketing move on behalf of MS since Outlook is
not included in the 2007 version and they didn't want to let us in the dark.

Can't install Office Home & Student over OEM trial
Didn't see this exact question in other threads. I replace crashed PC with
new HP Media Center(Vista) machine with trail version of Office installed.
Purchased 2007 Office H&S in a box (Word, Excel, PPT, OneNote?).
It won't install. Doesn't like the product key on box.

Getting fonts not to change on a Expression Web page
I am getting frustrated with tables, pictures and paragraphs getting
mis-aligned when the user changes the text size when viewing my web site. Is
there a simple way to lock down all font sizes on each page to a certain
size no matter what size the user chooses for viewing in Microsoft
Expression Web (Front page).

Front Page 2000
I have an Office 2000 disk that includes Front Page 2000 from my old computer.
I bought a new computer which has Vista and Excell 2007, etc., but obviously
no Front Page program.
Can I load Front Page 2000 only onto my new computer from the Office 2000
disk without impacting/replacing Excel, Word, etc....

This may be a really simply question, but I have never installed a program at

2007 language pack and ocr ? not working.
I installed office 2007 english on my XP pro computer which is english and
regional settings set to turkish and all ms updates applied. Then I wanted
to OCR my documents with ms document imaging. I installed ms office
language pack turkish and document imaging has now a combo box that I can
select the language. combo has turkish and english. that's perfect to..

Office 2007 - Microsoft Office Button disappeared
I has managed to hide/delete the MS Office button in Outlook. It is present
in all of the other Office apps. I have searched high and low to find it but
all to no avail. Does anyone know how to turn it back on short of having to
uninstall Office and reinstall it to get it back.

Message application not setup for user?
When I try to use any of the Microsoft Office 2003 applications, I get
message that application is not setup for user, that I need to run setup to
fix it. I have done what it saqid, but it gives the same message. I have
un-installed it and re-installed Microsoft Office, but still get the message
that application is not setup for user. Created another user profile and it
works....

Vista/Office Sleep problem -- repost -- Anybody?
I have a problem with all Office 2007 programs not working when I come back
from Vista sleep mode. For example with Outlook 2007, upon clicking on the
Send/Receive button I get no response. If I take the option "Let Outlook
rescue the information", the window goes into light grey mode and sits there
for 3-4 minutes. If I try and cancel the program instead it hangs.

Moving outlook data from one machine to another
Hard drive was replaced and the new c drive has outlook on it with no data,
the d drive has the old outlook data, copied the d drive data to the outlook
folder on the c drive but it will not show the contact list or correct
callander even all the data is showing on the c drive in a big file. Jeff...

Office 2007 Enterprise Apps only start from 'All Programs'
Hi
I had Windows XP SP2 (Home) and had installed Office 2007 Enterprise.
It all ran happily, and Excel/Word/Access would open from the Start
Menu (I had pinned these 3)
I have now upgraded to Windows Vista Business, and these apps will not
start if I pin them or unpin them (so that they are on the 'favourite'
or most common apps)
