activation key for office 2007 trial
I recently got a new laptop with Office 2007 preinstalled. When I try to get
an activation key from the Activation Assistant, I get a message saying "The
Microsoft Office Activation Assistant was unable to detect a 2007 Microsoft
Office release." I also tried to request an activation key online (I live in
Canada) but I get "invalid or missing county" so the request doesn't go

Save as PDF or XPS not working in Office 2007
Hi,
I have posted this message before but, as the issue remains unresolved,
thought I would post again.
I cannot get the Office 2007 save as PDF or XPS addin to work on my
installation of Office 2007 Pro Plus on a Windows XP SP2 machine. I have
tried to remove, redownload and reinstal the add-in but I still get the same

Backup settings?
I've just migrated from Office 2002 to Office 2007 on Win XP Pro, and looking
for a way to save and restore my settings. I gather from a brief web search,
that there are two tools for Office 2007 cited as being available, the "easy
transfer tool" and the "user state migration tool". That sounds promising.

Best times to phone Microsoft product support for office.
I have been trying to get to Office product support at the Microsoft
866-452-4755 number for many times (>6) at all times of the day and week.
I pick option #2 for support and get a recording "please hold' then a
recording saying "phone back later". I am on the west coast. Anybody have

Office 2007 Pro upgrade doesn't see Office 2003
How can I get the 2007 Pro upgrade to see that my Office 2003 is there. It
tells me I don't have a qualifying product from which to upgrade, despite
having Office 2003 Professional on my system, AND even offering the CD... but
it won't recognize either one.

AOL messages disable Word in Outlook
Several of my correspondents are still clinging to AOL for their e-mail
service and I guess that's their choice. The problem is that in several
cases (not all) when I try to respond to these AOL users via my MS Outlook
2003 the following occurs:

Ive had office 2007 beta on my computer and I uninstalled it and im
now continuing to use my office 2003, but everytime I load a different
application a message is displayed saying " the feature you are trying
to use is on a network source that is unavailible" "enter an alternate
path to find the installer file proww.msi".

Where did my trial version go?
I left my computer while the download was taking place about 400 meg Office
Pro, and when I came back it was finished but I cannot find it for the life
of me. I believe I clicked run program after downloaded as opposed to save....

I've downloaded and tried to install office 2007 pro trial version
I got through to the bit after you click install or cutomize ( I Think!) and
then it just sit there and nothing then it gives me an error message about :
The windows installer service could not update one or more protected files.
Please help as I really need this program.

Unable to install Outlook 2007 after Office 2007 Pro install
I've installed Office 2007 Pro on most of our WinXP PC's installing most of
the other programs except Outlook 2007 due to more testing. I had used the
documented method of running Setup with the /admin switch to create a .MST
file. When I run the Setup program on a system that has Office 2007 installed
and select ADD/REMOVE FEATURES, I click the red X next to Microsoft Office

Can I install Office 2003 with Office 2007?
A strange question you are probably thinking! I bought a new laptop and it
came pre-installed with a 60 day trial of 2007. The problem is that I own a
license for 2003 and want to continue using 2003.
My guess is I should uninstall Office 2007 (if it will let me!!) before I
try to install Office 2003?

OK SO I DOWNLOADED THE TRIAL VERSION AND ENTERED THE PRODUCT KEY. SAID ALL

Office 2007 Trial version crashes OS
Office 2007 corrupted my XP-Pro when I chose to only install Excel 2007,
after mandatory restart. This is not the first time an MS update has cracked
up my OS. It's extremely disturbing and disruptive. If I did not have a

Learning Essentials 2.0 & Office 2007
Has anyone else noticed that when Learning Essentials 2.0 is installed
with Office 2007 the time it takes for any office program to start up
is about 30 to 60 seconds. All you see is the blue screen and where
the ribbon/tabs are is blank, as if its trying to draw them or
something.
Any suggestions on how to improve?

I can't install Office Home and Student 2007
I can't install the program because my system requires the installation of
either MSWindows XP Professional Service Pack 2 or MSOffice Professional
Edition 2003 why is that? It says unless I correct the above mistakes I can't
