Possible to add Google to the list of Research Sites?
Is it possible to add Google search to the list of research sites in ON? I
like the ability to right-click on a word and have it looked up in the
side-bar with Live search or Encarta, but it would be nice to add Google to
this list. Is this possible?
Also, how can one set which search service is used by default when one
clicks to "Look Up" something in ON?

Can you reopen a cached notebook that you have accidentally closed
We have multiple shared notebooks on our server, and edit them every day. We
have quite a few people that will be taking OneNote on the road with them and
syncing it when they get back.
If they open the cached notebook offline and close it by mistake, is there
any way to reopen it without reconnecting to the network and reopening the
shared notebook?...

Screen clipping not working when Firefox is running
The Onenote screen clipping function doesn't work when Firefox is
running. The screen just goes dark grey and if I do select part of the
screen, a black rectangle is pasted in Onenote.
The Onenote icon is present in the system tray.
I'm using FF 3.0.3, Onenote 2007, Windows XP Professional on an Acer
Laptop.
When I close FF, Screen clipping works again - reload Firefox, it stops
working.

Emailing from Onenote 2007 uses a different Sender Name
Hi,
It appears that Onenote uses the product registration name as the "From"
when you send emails within the product. Outlook 2007 uses the "Name" field
associated with the email account.
How can I change my name within Onenote 2007 ? Shouldn't it be a option
somewhere or use my Outlook name?...

One2007 Page Sorting after corruption warning...
I had an issue with one of my 2007 OneNote notebooks, it was automatically
repaired. Great, but not so great?
Now all the pages in this notebook are out of order, chronologically.
I've looked on the web and haven't found an easy solution to this problem....

Is this data lost for good?
This may be stupid, but I'm new to OneNote and am not sure of the best way to
work with it...
I had a notebook, with a section, with a page that contained a copy of an
Outlook task. Within that task was an embedded message.
Yesterday, I was EDITING the contents of that message. It was a
work-in-progress, so I had the message open most of the afternoon.

Posting blogs from OneNote
I remember reading somewhere that it's possible to use OneNote to
compose blog entries. How does one go about doing so?
The blog sites I want to use are:
- Windows Live
- Yahoo
- Google
If you know of a URL or two that can provide information along these

PUblic and private comment sharing
Is it possible when sharing a onenote session via sharepoint to all the user
to decide whether to share there comments or to keep them private.
If not anyone have any suggestions how this can be achieved via sharepoint
as the document store....

Invisible Drawing Items
Firstly, I love Onenote. It's brilliant.

OneNote Printer Driver does not work
I installed OneNote and am just now starting to use it.
I cannot print documents to one note, there is no printer driver
installed/one note not listed under printers, and the Insert/Files as
Printout option is greyed out.

Multiple "Font Color" buttons
It would be good to have multiple "Font Color" buttons on the toolbar and be
able to choose a different colour in each one. The same would apply to the
highlight buttons. Currently if I'm going through a note highlighting or
colouring text based on some criteria, I cannot quickly shift between a set

OneNote icon not in task tray after reboot
The icon was not in the taskbar so I opened OneNote and the Place icon in
tasktray was checked. I unchecked it, close OneNote. I opened OneNote and
rechecked it and the icon appeared in the taskbar. I check the Startup folder
in the All Programs and found it contained "OneNote 2007 Screen clip and
Launcher".
When I rebooted my computer the icon was missing from the taskbar!...

the situation:

--I close it
--how do i bring it back as a small side window

Magnifying/unmagnifying notes
I somehow magnified all of the pages and am not sure how I can get it back to
12 point font instead of 12 point font magnified 120%. Does anyone have any
idea how to get the pages back to the regular 12 point font?...

Customized Tags Disappear
I customized (and ordered) several tags within OneNote 2007, but they have
disappeared after I closed the program. I created the tags again, but they
have again disappeared upon restarting OneNote. The material that was tagged
remains tagged, but the customized tags have disappeared from the tag menu.
Does anyone know where I have gone wrong?...
