Playing sound files
I have inserted sound files on a presentation that I recorded on a digital
voice recorder, uploaded to my laptop, and then inserted on the slides. When
I attempt to play the audio on the presentation from another computer, it
doesn't work. How do I make the audio in the presentation work regardless of
the computer being used?...

Printing notes only ... with multiple notes per page
I have a large PP presentation (175 slides), but want to print only the
notes, (since they would fit on 25-30 pages). In other words, I'd like to
print the notes from multiple slides on a single finished Word doc page. I
have tried both the "File-Print-and then setting the print parameters"
option ... AND ... the "Send To" function, but neither addresses BOTH parts
of what I'm trying ...

I finally figured out how to link the charts in PowerPoint to Excel by doing
a Paste special. Every thing works until I save and reopen the file. When I
open the file I get the message “Microsoft Office has identified a potential

How to activate a pdf slide show in Power Point?
I made some nice pdf slide shows with pictures i would like to integrate in
Powerpoint. I can import a pdf file via import / object into Powerpoint
presentation. The problem is that the pdf slide show is not playing
automatically when put into the powerpoint presentation. The imported pdf
file always needs a mouse click and I would like to avoid that! Is it

powerpoint 2007
I have a new system that is XP with powerpoint 2007. I have several
powerpoint slideshow projects and when I try to play them, I get a message
that says there is no associated file to open them and they will not open. I
have gone into the folders option to try and set them up but it does not give
me any other options. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thanks Totts...

Modifying one level (in the Master) without changing the other lev
In the Master Slide, in the Object Area box, I want the first paragraph to
have no indents.
Underneath that paragraph, I want bulleted paragraphs, but I want the bullet
to have no indent, but I want a hanging indent for the paragraph. I want it

How do you do custom animations to text WITHIN a text box
I have a text box with a paragraph typed in it. There are no bullets or art
clip inside the text box, just words. I would like to create a custom
animation that when I click once, the first 3 sentences will turn red (the
text to turn red). Then, when I click again, the next 3 sentences will turn
blue. Finally, when I click again, the next 3 sentences will turn green.

Hyperlinks
I made a powerpoint that has hyperlinks to word documents and other
powerpoints. I want to put it on a CD. I first saved all the documents to the
CD. Then, when I made the hyperlinks, I selected for it to come from the CD
drive. Problem is, it doesn't always open up on other computers. Does the CD
have to be formatted or is there a special way to view the powerpoint?...

Convert PowerPoint to Flash?
Hey folks, I have some animated PowerPoint slides that I want to show
to convert to Flash. I want to convert this set of slides to a Flash
file that I can post on my website and can be viewed simply with a
click. The main purpose is to show some animated PowerPoint slides
(i.e. the animation is all done in PPT... Flash is only the delivery
tool).

Content Security
In the 97-2003 version, you could make a doc Read Only via the General
Options while saving. The file could then only be opened as Read Only without
supplying the password, and both the Save and Save As options were greyed out.
In the PPT 2007 version, the same general option for security is there -
password for Read Only - but it does not protect the content. People can open
as Read On...

PP 2003 Unable to Resize Org Chart Shapes
My shapes do not have the dotted border enabling me to resize or rotate. I
have turned off auto format. What is causing this. The first org chart I
created in the presentation is fine, but I can't get the others to respond.

Pictures changing to a pink color
I'm using PP 2000. After inserting images and saving. the next day I open the
file and my pictures have changes from a normal picture to a hot pint color.
the white color stays white, the black stays black colors close to white
changes the aqua, and all other colors turn to a hot pink. The funny thing is
not all slides are affected, and not all pictures on the effect slides

PowerPoint SlideShowBegin Event Firing Multiple Times Per Slide?
I think I'm having a problem with the "SlideShowBegin" event.
I am writing a PowerPoint COM AddIn using C# and when I trap the
"SlideShowBegin" event it is firing fine when a single file is open and I go
into "Slide Show" (F5) mode. No problem -- I am able to perform a test and
perform several initializations.

just the markup is printing - not the whole image
AM INSERTING .TIF FROM FILE - SOMETIMES THE WHOLE IMAGE PRINTS AND SOMETIMES
IT DOESN'T - MORE OFTEN THAN NOT JUST THE MARK-UP PRINTS.

Formatting issue when opening powerpoint file
I'm using ppt 2003 with sp3. I created a presentation and sent to my client
(also using ppt 2003 sp3) who had no problems viewing it. All formatting
(bullets) looked as they should. The client sent the file to a third party
vendor who added a color scheme, changed the bullet style, and inserted a few

powerpoint language problem
OK here's the deal with my computer: I have a series of over 1,000
presentation files in a folder. The first 50-60, when opened, show the weird
characters, the rest show in Russian. Why is that?
- I have tried using different fonts (usually Arial or Times New Roman, as
far as I know, they work for all languages, that didn't work)

PPT Image export quality very poor ?
Hi there I have a Macro that I wrote that exports powerpoint slides to .gif
Image files
I have been using it for 3 years on Windows XP and it has worked fine (good
quality images) I recently switched my Operating System to Windows Vista and
using the same version as on Win XP (Powerpoint 2003) I run my Macro and it
exports the slids to .gif image files but the image quality really is bad...

Color Changes in Slides
I received a power point slide show from a client to edit. The background
was black when it arrived....suppose to be white. I checked the
