it looks like there are 2 different test suites that are part of the DTM PrintTicket testing. i was running the command manually using the MasterTestSuite.xml file. this is what was failing the 5 tests. switching to the WDKTestSuite passes all 12 tests.
it appears from the full DTM Controller tests for PrintTicket is that the "WDK" suite is used so it looks like we should be able to pass the PrintTicket tests.
