It's been weeks. We have one other account in our household with Windows Live Messenger that works fine on another cellular number, same service provider.
Customer service tells us we do not have a Windows Live Mobile Account and kep telling us to:
1. Start Windows Live Messenger. 2. On the Tools menu, click Options. 3. In the Options dialog box, click Phone, and then click Mobile Settings. 4. Follow the instructions to sign up for a Windows Live Mobile account.
Then they tell us to:
1. Start Windows Live Messenger. 2. On the Tools menu, click Options. 3. In the Options dialog box, click Phone. 4. Click the Allow people on my contact list to send messages to my mobile device check box.
We do this over, and over, and over, and over and every time the option to select "allow people on my contacts list to send messages to my mobile device" is grayed out.
We e-mail Customer support back, get a new person and the vicious cycle starts over and over.
