If I am on their contact list, why do I keep getting.... Jenny23098 5/5/2007 4:39:01 PM Someone added me to their list of contacts, and sent me a message, but when I try to email them back I keep getting the following: "Diagnostic-Code: smtp;550 Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable" I am still in their list of contacts so can anyone tell me why this is happening?

If you don't sign into your Hotmail account regularly (and don't have a MSN/Hotmail subscription), the mailbox will be closed. It's from a friend who is deployed overseas and he isn't online a lot, he just emails every now and again to contact friends to let us know he is well. I had answered initially and it went through ok, but then about a week later I tried and got that message. Yes, I am trying every now and again at different times, and the same thing keeps happening. He did say on another occasion some time ago that he's using a blackberry and it doesn't always work well with email.
