Columns go gray
I am using Windows XP Pro and current with all updates. Windows Live Mail
Version 2009 (Build 14.0.8050.1202).
Now I had to reinstall the operating system, did all the updates and then I
copied my "USER" folder back into the "Documents And Settings" folder then
reinstalled Windows Live Mail. Before and still the entire line would be

What is the Most recent Vista Version of WLM Desktop?
Of course, I have been experiencing all the weird glitches with WLM lately.
It has always done strange things like place some incoming mail in my Drafts
folder, and refused Ctrl=C and Ctrl+V, and I figured WTF, it's beta. Is it
still beta? Now I have problems with composing using images and I hear I am
not alone. Lately, WLM started crashing when sending, losing all my work.

What happens to questions that are asked
I asked a question and received an email stating there was a response. I
click on the link and nothing just a blank page. Here is the link.

_eml extension will not open in WLM beta in Vista
When I try to open an email with a ..._eml extension it will not open. I have
to drag it to my desktop to rename the email with just a .eml
entension,(omitting the underscore) it will open with WLM. I tried to change
the association in default programs with WLM and it already states WLM. When
I click on the email it does absolutely nothing. I had the same problem with
XP and was able to ...

WLM stops when an attacment is opened
Windows Live Mail stops every time I open an attachment to an e-mail. After I
reopen WLM, the attachement can be opened, but only once. If I try to open it
again, WLM stops. Uninstalling and reinstalling WLM did not solve the
problem.I have Windows Vista Premium....

What Are Newsgroups/Deleting Feeds
I notice the option for Newsgroups in WLM. What Newsgroups is it referring
and where do I find them?
Also, I subscribe to 32 feed accounts through the IE browser. These feeds
are automatically added to WLM where, for me, they are easier and quicker to
read. I noticed that where in IE feeds remain on a server until accessed, in
WLM they appear to be downloaded and stored on my compute...

Pictures Only Insert As Attachment
I use WLM 1606 and I like some of the new updates that have been recently
added. I am grateful for the return of the X that closes an email rather
than using File, Exit.
However, now whenever I send an email with photos or graphics inserted
within the body, the email arrives without these pictures in the body but as
an attachment that only opens in a picture gallery. This leaves an ...

Photos Won't Attach
Using Window Live Mail. Each attempt to email any photo fails. This occurs
whether clicking on a photo to email it (with WLM set as the default mail
program), or attaching a photo to a new message. What is the problem with
attaching photos in WLM?

not receiving mail from one domain - not blocked
I'm receiving mail from everyone except anyone at one domain
name@summitchurch.cc
The .cc domain is not common but it is what my church uses. We have several
staff members with different email adresses and none are getting through -
all are using my correct email address.
I've checked my rules and blocked senders list and neither the names or the
domain are listed.

Compatibilty with IE 8.0?
Is there any estimate of when WLM will be compatible with the IE 8.0
releases? Currently, having any of the IE 8.0 pre-release builds installed
keep WLM from inserting images into messages whether the images are inserted
inline or as a "Photo email". This is a known bug but I'm not sure with which
program. IE 8.0 or WLM?
Considering that an RC of IE 8.0 is due within a reasonably short ...

Can't nest WLM's categories like OE's groups?
hi, when managing contacts in oe i was able to group contacts and then create
email distribution lists from multiple groups - a very powerful feature. in
wlm, the categories feature is completely flat - no nesting possible. I'm
using 14.0.8050.1202...

Windows Live Mail - Unable to support embedded images in Emails
I've been living with this problem for about 2 months, but today I felt
inclined to try and solve the issue.
Here's the problem. When I embed images into HTML emails, nothing shows up,
just a blank space.

search online- no answer

Printing Problem
In using Vista, when I print e-mails the entire page prints black.
When I print from Word or PDF it is fine.

As soon as any Windows Live app logs in to my account I get the "Windows
Communications Platform has stopped working", and i get the following
APPCRASH.

Impossible to import email addresses
Hi, here's a bug... It's impossible to import your contact's email addresses
from a *.csv file. The Live Mail mapping step doesn't have the "personal"
email, "work" email or "other" email fields that the program uses to
categorize email. There's only an "email address" field to map to, but it's a
black hole. WLM doesn't put it anywhere. Go ahead, give it a try - thanks.

Gmail/IMAP help
Ok,
Trying to get WLM and GMAIL working with IMAP and getting the following error:
Unable to send or receive messages for the Gmail (brtriggs) account. Header
download for the '[Gmail]' folder did not complete. Could not select

Nested Messages
One feature of Outlook Express that I loved was being able to view all
newsgroup messages without having to open each thread individually. Is there
any way to do this in WLM?

How would one switch between languages in spell checker
I have 3 languages installed.
German is set as default.
All new mails get checked in German.
I can't find a way to quickly switch the languages (like I can in Outlook)
other than changing the default.
