WLM (v. 2008 release) shuts down with no warning
About once every 3 or 4 days Windows Live Mail stops responding while I am
composing an email and everything I'm working on is lost. The screen suddenly
goes very "pale" and nonthing brings it back. Anything already in the outbox
is still there but the current message I'm writing is lost.
I've checked my WLOne Care and the problem does not seem to be caused by an
update in progress of ...

Sync-ing around
If, as others have posted here and elsewhere, WLM replaces Windows Mail
(Vista) and Outlook [Express?], does the inclusion of Windows Mobile WMDC in
Windows 7 augur switching away form Outlook as sole WMDC sync point for
calendar and contacts?

merging accounts
i have been running vista on my latop for some while now and not had a
problem accessing different accounts thru windows mail and wml eg (my
daughthers, my wifes and mine) all seperatly.
on the tower unit i had xp and always accessed my account thru the msn
butterfly thing and we all had our seperate account but now i have this new

All News Folder Contents
In Newsgroups, the Quick views / All news folder shows 945 unread messages
(even when there are none in the newsgroups I'm subscribed to. If I right
click on the folder and click on "mark all as read" nothing happens. If I
use the maintenance tab under tools, there is nothing I can do to delete
these messages or mark them as read. I'd like to clean up this mess but I'm

WLM and Gmail. Why wont it sync properly?
I am using Windows live mail to access my gmail account but I am finding that
even after apparently setting the pop and imap settings correctly WLM does
not interface properly with the gmail account. Example: Messages sent while
logged into the gamil account via explorer are not downloaded to sent folder
within WLM. Also, emails read in WLM do not appear as read when logged into
gmail...

Where are the Icons??!!
Where have the icons on the new Windows Live Mail Beta gone???.
Please! I understand you choosed to eliminate icons but a lot of people
here have told you we don't like textual!
It's not intuitive at all to use, you have to memorize all the position
commands instead of identify them at first look.
At least let us choose between plain text, text and icons or only icons, but
don't decide...

Headers display but cannot read any messages in Live Mail
I have an MSN account that was working fine up to about a day or two ago. Now
when I go in Windows Live Mail, I can see all the headers, and retrieve new
mail, but none of the messages display.

Missing Quick Views
Have been using WLM build 12.0.1606 for several months. I had Quick Views
set to show all inboxes... worked fine since installation. Tonight I purged
some Storage Folders, archives of old messages in separate folders that had
nothing to do with the current inboxes of any of my three e-mail accounts.
Now Quick Views is empty! Even with the box checked "All Inbox...etc.", the

Font Changes when Receive
just download the new version, not beta, Version 2009 from get.live.cn,
i sent message from WLM in ARIAL font, but receive in TIMES NEW ROMAN font,
and tried the same with Outlook Professional, doesn't have this problem,
please advice why and how to sort out this problem,
remine, this problem keep remained for all versions of WLM,

Placing a JPEG in my Signature
Is it possible to place a JPEG photo in my signature? I think I have done
everything to create an HTML file and create a signature but the photo

Workaround to Edit HTML Source in Windows Live Mail
Several participants have lamented the disappearance of the -Edit,
Source- and -Preview- tabs when moving from Windows Mail to Windows Live
Mail.
If you still have Windows Mail installed along with Windows Live Mail,
here's a quick and dirty way of doing it:

Message stuck in outbox and then sends twice
Messages sometimes get stuck in the outbox and then send twice. I downloaded
the latest version of the entire Live Suite that recently came out but the
problem persists. I read in another post that the outbox sticking is a
communication problem, which I find hard to accept; however, even if this is
the case, why does the mail send twice? It is getting embarassing writing to

Photo Email
Yeah, I'm with Sean Stephen on this one. When trying to send a photo email
using the upload method in WLM beta, I receive, "Photo Publishing Error.
Sorry we couldn't upload you photos, did you want to send the message any
way." It will; however, allow me to attach photos within the body of the
message. I get the same message when trying to send a photos in email

Sent Mail Goes to Outbox
Hello,
Although I have selected the option to send emails immediately, at times I
find emails sent emails sitting in the Outbox with a closed "yellow envelope"
icon. I then must click the send/receive button and check the "sent" folder
in the email account to ensure it has been sent. Sometimes I must do this
several times because the email gets stuck in the Outbox.

What is the file size to send a photo email? I tried to send a photo email
of 10MB and I received the error message that it was to large. Help says

msn mail Icon.
After installing msn hotmail I started getting a msnmail icon on my
desktop. It is a .txt folder that contains information that makes no
sense to me. Every time I delete it it shows back up when I connect to
internet. How do I get rid of it?

Quick views (All news) = 100% CPU for about 15 minutes
Upon upgrading to the December beta refresh and clicking into the newsgroups
section, I was puzzled to see "All news" Quick view incrementing steadily
with no way to stop it that I could find, all the while taking 100% of the
CPU. That's not a very nice user experience upon opening the program. Why
wouldn't it happen when it senses low user activity, like, say, Windows
indexing does? An...

Blue lines in forwards
When I get a message with the blue lines in forwards that I want to forward,
I used the source edit. Do you know how to remove the blue lines in Windows
Live Mail? There is no option for View>Source Edit like there is in Outlook
Express or Windows Mail....

Forwarding notice on Hotmail account about to expire
Back when I was trying to set up WinLiveMail, I didn't understand why I had
to have a Hotmail account to do so. I have inadvertantly two live e-mails
now, but have received no notice on such on both, only one. If I can't have
two live acct's and have to delete one, will this (above) action do the
trick? Or can you tell me how to cancel one and still keep the other? I am
really confus...
