safe sender&blocked sender
How do I back up the safe sender list and the blocked sender list? In a
previous post I was told you can do it in the registry. At the time I was
not ready to mess with the registry but now I am. Any reply would be

Address Book Question
Hi,
I imported my address book from Outlook Express but only about 100 of nearly
1000 addresses have names. All the other are just e-mail addresses with 'add
name' option on top of the e-mail address. Why didn't the import include the
names that are in Outlook Express? It's a bit of time and energy to change
the names of 900 addresses.
Any help appreciated,

Removing > symbol from previous messages
Hello Everyone,
I'm new to the forum. I recently switched from Outlook Express to Live
Mail. I'm hoping someone here can tell me how to adjust my settings so
the ">" symbol doesn't appear in front of each line of previous email

Import images in Live Mail Beta

Outlook Express Doing Better!
Hi,
I have recently moved from OE to WLM. There are still a couple of issues
unresolved. First, the transfer of the address book from OE left hundreds of
e-mail addresses without names! Only 10-15% were imported with names (as
originally designated in the OE address book).
Second, I still have OE working, although it is not the default Mail. Yet OE
gets some messages that WLM does no...

internet accounts
after reformatting I would like to import my accounts back into WLM. I have
gone File>Export>Accounts>Import and then to location of my backup.
I Find no account files.

eMail Count Not Updated Instantaneously
Hi All,
I have just started using WLM the New Beta and the Major Problem I face is
that while in the old WLM, I could get an updated count of read/unread
messages in each account an folder in the left hand side pane, now i have
close the particular account and then open it again.
As in, the eMail Read / unread count does not get updated even after I have
read the mail. just wondering...

Contact groups in Windows Mail
Hello
I would like to set up contact groups in my mail account. I have
followed all the instructions but can't find "New Contact Group" as an
item in my toolbar. I am now at a loss as it seems to be missing.
Can anyone suggest what I now need to do.

Setting to open Default Account
Hi,
I have 2 accounts set up with WLM. When I open the program, how can I get it
to ALWAYS open to the default account? Right now it opens to the last

Windows Live Mail not opening when clicking icon
Cerebral ones,
I downloaded WLM but will not open-get configuration box that clears
but not opening. I tried to change WLMail.Url.Mailto permission that I
saw on Andy's blog but denied me. I downloaded pstools but could not
figure out how to properly use and run ps.exec to change things. I can
open Windows Live from link in favorites list but not from the taskbar
icon.

when attachment open 2nd time winmail crash
When Im trying to open attachment second time, windows mail crashes. It
doesnt have to be same attachment, but 2nd one. Every attachment opens fine
if its open as 1st one.

Sending web page as attachment in Windows Live (hotmail)
I used to be able to send a web page as an attachment using hotmail. Now,
when I send the attachment within a webpage, I get the hotmail, but the
attachment is not included. Am I missing a crucial plugin?
