Minor Bug - Notification Icon
I have Windows Live Mail Beta,
If the an email was downloading you click on it and once it finised download
the mail. the notification icons shows that you have new mails and even you
changed clicking on other mails to be sure that all has been read the
notification icon doesn't change back ...
To solve this problem either you close and open the application again or you

Calendar Event Reminders
If anyone else is having similar problems, my experience may help.
I currently run Vista Business and was testing event reminders. I signed my
mobile phone up, received the confirmation code, and set an event within WLM
Desktop to test. (I share my calendar with another account. That other
account shares their calendar with me. Just in case sharing affects the
issue...)

Birthday calendar syncing
I just started using the new birthday calendar and I'm syncing back to my
computers with outlook connector. The first contacts I added birthdays
through was on windows live and they show up in the birthday calendar after
a while. The second batch of birthdays were added through outlook and synced

Importing emails to WLM using .dbx file format
Windows XP Home edition on older machine
1) Backup email folders MS Outlook 2003 to .pst files. But since Outlook is
not on my new computer (Vista Ultimte 64 OS), Windows Live Mail returns the
error message, "Messages cannot be imported from the MAPI client."
So...plan B
2) Imported MS Outlook 2003 folders into Outlook Express 6. That seems to
work smoothly.
3) Moved .dbx files...

how to create a signature with different color and font
I want to create a signature like I can in hotmail with different options of
fonts and color, but with window live mail béta, i can only have on font and

Re: Importing *.wab file
Is this a "known issue"?
When I try to import a *.wab file of address-book contacts from OE 6
into the WLM beta the following happens:
1. The file imports cleanly and all contacts in OE 6 are present in
WLM.
2. I close WLM beta.
3. The next time I open WLM beta the contacts are gone. I have zero
contacts.
Do I need to do something to *save* the contacts in WLM beta?

cannot enter subject
If I forget to enter a subject in WL Mail I get a dialog that allows OK or
Cancel. Id I choose cancel so that I can add a Subject field is disabled....

initial start after install >>veeery slooowww
I installed wlm beta (wave 3) on a computer that is dual core 4 gigs of ram
windowsXPSP3, that had many many emails in outlook express;
after the install of wave 3 I see that wlm and contacts are 50%of the cpu
each (I see this on the task manager) but I don't see anything on the
screen.
Are they importing the Outlook express emails in the background or what?

Multiple emails - Help!
I receive 2 different email address via Spamarrest filter service. When the
email hits my WLM, it doubles...i.e. place a copy in each account, despite
the fact that they were set up as different accounts. Why the doubling??...

Import Outlook Express Identities
I have installed Windows Live Mail onto XP SP3 (from Outlook Express).
It found and imported the primary identity.
Now I find that
1.) It doesn't import identities. (I used identities to separate
groups of email addresses and functions).
Creating separate Windows Users to separate email groups is not an
option.

NewsGroups
I have 2 newsgroups..Microsoft Communities and news.shawcable.net
Both work fine and are listed under Tools/Accounts/News
I Have setup a few rules one of which is to delete all news item older than
3 days.
Everytime I invoke this rule or any rule for that matter Live Mail comes
back with the
error message that I have no Newsgroups and should set some up.

Iphone & Live Mail Account
I understand that if I sign up for hotmail plus it gives me access to pop
email for my live email account. My question is if I pay for the plus service
with hotmail will I be able to set it as imap and sync my folders as well on
my iphone? I phone support imap but will hotmail plus support it or will it
only suppport the pop service?...

downloading and installing win live mail
I'm having a problem even downloading and installing WLM. I gte to the
installer (where MSFT offers a whole bunch of other products that I might
want to instal as well as WLM, ie Sign-in assistant, messenger, etc). After
that, nothing happens...

New Image of Hotmail, pretty but not too practical
I like the new look, but it has not been very functional.
*I cannot select senders and do cut/copy & paste to BBC for example.
*Also the options of instructions have been reduced and it's not too
practical if I have to mark something as Unread: gives more "clicks" to do.
*And the last thing is that when I close a message and go to the inbox, the

Posting Problems
Although I have my newsgroup accounts set up the same way in OE that I do in
Live Mail, I can't seem to post (error message when . Is there some trick
to Live Mail I'm not aware of?

Backing Up Signatures
Is there a way in Windows Live Mail to back up signatures? It's a pain when

I'm pretty new to the newsgroups and I'd really like to make use of this

however, I have no idea how to properly subscribe to the right NNTP server.
What do I need to do to get the right NNTP?

How to change WLM Default...
Hi!
I'd been using web interface for my MS' mail IDs before I install the WL
mail pack. At that time, when I click the mail icon on the WL messenger then
the web page shown automatically and not required to enter password again (of
coz' the WL messenger login done) & I can handle multi IDs linked w/o
re-enter password too. I love this function most, likely it's the WLM unique?

Cannot delete mail in INBOX, -- Windows Live Mail, IMAP
I like WLMail very much because its simple and easy to use and eye candy UI.
I have been using it for a while. But there is a annoying problem just
keeping bothering me. Whenever I delete a message in INBOX, not only a copy
of the email is sent to DELETED ITEMS but also the same message reappears in
