Vista 32-bit Install
I tried to install messenger on Vista and is already the administrator. yet
they gave me an error saying that i do not have permission to install this

Video Call Fails
I can do video calls with all of my friends except one. Whenever either one
of us initiates a video call, the other hears the ring, answers, but the
video and audio connection is never made. After a few moments, we both get a
message that says "Your Video Call has ended". This happens every time. She
can see herself in her own camera, and I can see myself in mine, but we
cannot see or ...

Emoticon issues, etc
I am unable to see emotions that I send or receive (WLM 8.1). I am only able
to see my shortcut (letters/numbers) - but not the actual picture. Similarly,
I am not able to see emoticons sent to me - only the shortcut the other
person uses. Sending text back and forth is fine.
In addition, at times, WLM will post that I'm unavailable - in the middle of
a conversation that I'm having wit...

Today screen
sometime when I open the today screen it automatically gives me the NY

Problem with WLM 8.5 and 8.1
Since i turne don my computer this morning i havnt been able to send messages
to anyone on my contact list.
At first i had 8.5 beta installed and when i ran the program this morning
the repair shield poped up and asked for a install patch, so i cancelled that
restared my PC
After the restart 8.5 ran fine, it logged on and my list came up so i tried

Question!
Hi! I'm sorry, this is probably a really annoying question to those
experienced, but i downloaded windows live messenger because of the "i'm"
initiative was awesome... but I'm lost. I had AIM previously... so, my
question is, "can I not have my buddies from instant messenger on my friends
list? and if it does work... how? thank you!...

Messenger 8.5 vs NCR, The new beta won't comunicate with NCR
Hi guys,
Actually, I think this is not a an issue from Mesenger itself, but is not up
to me to judge that, hehe.
Just something I found: with Windows Live Messenger 8.5, you cannot
communicate with any person working in NCR (www.ncr.com). As some of you
might know, they have some kind of logging and when a conversation is
started it shows a text saying that is private information, ya...

WebCam with Vista
Hi all
I am using the vx6000 LIfe Cam with Vista. I have found the Vista drivers
and installed them. Device Manage says the device is working ok. I have
given Vista plenty of opportunity of finding better drivers but it reports
mine are optimal
However the microphone is not working. Plunger stays at the bottom/
Everything else ok.Does this in fact mean I have a hardware fault

WLM 8/8.5 memory consumption, How much RAM does Messenger 'eats'?
Hi guys... I just wanted to get some stats... WLM is eating about 60~70MB of
RAM. Both final 8.1 and beta 8.5

Font size
Hi! I noticed that i can't set font size in conversation window lower than 10.
In version 7.5 i can do it but don't in 8.5.
I want to set my font to Tahoma 8 like always so please fix that!!

Problem with Emoticons & Display pictures
I cannot view emoticons nor can I save any. I get the message that the bmp's
or jpegs are not a compatible file format. Plus I cannot view any of my
contacts display pictures or use any file for my own display picture.
I'm having trouble finding help online can anyone help me.

Problems with Display Pictures & Emoticons
Since I upgraded to Windows Live Msgr 8.1 I cannot see my display pictures
except for sometimes when I'm in a conversation. Plus I cannot save any
emoticons and I cannot see emoticons when they are sent to me. I get file
not compatible error when trying to save a bmp or jpeg. In conversations
when they are sent to me if I right click where it should be and click add I
see the add box ...

Messenger leads to shut down
After upgrading to MSN 8.1 yesterday I find that my computer is unable to
synchronise when I open sharing folders. Furthermore after failing to
synchronise the PC closes down completely and reboots. After sending an error

Video but no audio
I can't seem to find my previous posts about problems with WLM 8.1 and Vista,
specifically being able to see my contacts but not being able to hear or talk
to them. Well, my (brilliant) brother-in-law has figured it out. The

Wireless Network Connection Difficulties and Messenger
I have been having difficulties remaining connected to my wireless network
when I log into Windows Live Messenger. Initially I am able to sign in and
enter into conversations with my contacts, but after a few minutes my

Why doesn't live messenger add more choices to voice
AOL, Yahoo, and Skype messenger all offer you a number where you can receive
inbound calls from phones. They also allow voice mail if you're not on the
messenger or don't feel like talking at the moment. Why hasn't this been
implemented into the new live messenger?
Also, why hasn't more of the vista features been utilized? Like the
sidebar.

Disable transfer of files msn - windows live messenger
Hello,
I have a question about MSN and Windows live
messenger : I tried to change the registry with :
a.. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\ Policies\ Microsoft\ Messenger\ Client
b.. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ Software\ Policies\ Microsoft\ Messenger\ Client
c.. Add a key REG_DWORD "DisableFileTransfer ". Change the value to 1 to
activate the restriction.
But it doesn't work ... Could you tell ...
