I cant initiate session or I got disconnected all the time
I receive the following errors when I cannot initiate session:
error 80070190
error 80070209
Anyone knows what this mean? any suggestion?
I have disable firewall in my pc and I'm the only one in the office that
have this problem.

Windows Live Messenger has encountered a problem and must close
I had version 8.0 installed and I kept being disconnected and then
re-connected during conversations.
Today I installed version 8.1. Haven't tried a conversation yet, but when I
click on Help, before I am connected to the web page, the message "Windows
Live Messenger has encountered a problem and must close" appears.
I notice that these two problems are being experienced by many people ...

MSN Messenger Username Change Problems
I created a Live ID over a year ago for use with my xbox 360 and messenger
using my blueyonder email address.
Then months later I moved and wanted to change my Live ID sign in name which
was a old blueyonder email address i read that my messenger contacts would
be transfered over so I done as instructed and logged in with my new live id

Messages are not going through
Hello,
When I send an IM to someone on my contact list I receive an error message
saying the message could not be delivered, even though the contact is online.
If the contact sends me a message, I can then reply without a problem. Does
anyone know why this could be happening?
I did uninstall and re-install but still the same problems.

Audio quality autoadjust?
Does someone know if messenger (vista 32 bit) autoadjusts the quality of
audio for spotty wireless connections? Yahoo does, but messenger will not.
is this feature being considered?

Microphone doesn't work in video call but does in voice call
Hi,
When I do a voice call in Windows Live Messenger, everything works
correctly. However, when I make a video call, everything is working, except
that the slider for my microphone is disabled (and is on 0), and the Mute
button doesn't work either (not that I'd like to mute it -- I'd like it to
be NOT mute).

Live Messenger freezes when connected to Internet
Scenario:
Not sure if it's relevant or not, but I'm connected to the Internet via
Wireless LAN.
Anytime the Wireless LAN connection is disabled (via disable, or during the
interval where it's disabled via repair), Messenger is responding normally
and I can access dialogs, click "Sign In ..." etc.

Audio problems
Problem: Can see video but not to hear my contacts and they can't hear me.
Info:
- Vista Ultimate
- LifeCam VX-6000
- Windows Live Messenger 8.1
- When using the Microsoft LifeCam console I can capture video and audio fine.
- I was able to start an audio converstaion by using "Call Computer" option
and then send me camera option. (Both Audio and video are in poor quality).

Audio and Video Setup Live Messenger
I have a Microsoft Lifecam3000 - since upgrading to Vista I have not been
able to make any adjustments to my speaker or microphone volume. Due to this
problem I have stopped using Windows Live Messenger. I have checked my
Webcam and am able to set volume and speakers up OK. Is there an update I

Windows Live Messenger voice conversations
I have WLM version 8.1 (Build 8.1.0178.00). In previous versions I could have
free voice conversations with others. Now I cannot figure out how to have
free voice conversations. Can I still have free voice conversations, and if
so, how? Or is Microsoft requiring me to subscribe to their voice service,
for which I have to pay?...

Proxy Settings Messenger 8.1
Is there a way to set the proxy server in Messenger 8.1 separate from IE. I
have to use one proxy server to surf the web and a different one to get
Messenger to work. Looking in the connection settings area it says it uses
IE settings, but I know in previous version you were able to set it
separately. Anyone know if there is a trick to do it.

Express instead of Hotmail and to not use Internet Explorer when the Help

Auto Sign-on Problem
I have two PCs at home both running Windows XP Pro and Windows Live Messenger
8.1. At boot time one PC works flawlessly and starts Windows Live Messenger

Installing latest Windows Live Messenger

Some Live Messenger changes routing table and disconect VPN
Hi, I have found in some cases ( 2 of 10 PCs) where the Live Messenger
modifies the routing table when I sign on or sign out, that destroy my VPN
connection (Nortel IPSec), in the routing table appears new routes with
destination to Microsoft (207.46.x.x or 65.54.x.x).

Mailing Conversations
One of my contacts managed to send the conversation line they were typing
directly to my hotmail account instead of into the live messenger
conversation window.
This appeared diferently to all my other ordinary emails from this contact
in that the senders address actually has their msn nickname in it including
their font custom codes

Video Conversation in Messenger causes PC to reboot
Hello, hopefully someone can help with this...
I have been trying to have a video conversation with my dad. We both have
the same webcams and decent spec PC's running XP and Windows Live Messenger.
Once we have a video conversation established with cam and sound working

THIS IS JUST WEIRD!
I used MSN Messenger at work for years. Now I no longer work there but want
to keep in touch with my friends there.
WHY are you not allowed to add people from my old company name that are on
Windows instant messenger there.
I get that stupid message where it says that if they don't have a passport
account (i.e. hotmail email address) they won't let you add them...WTF?...
