Need some help getting my wirelss to connect to the internet
I'm trying to get my AirLink Wirelss (AR325W) to work. I'm still having
problems establishing an internet connection. Although I can connect to my
wireless network it's about all I can do. My main purpose is to keep this
wireless off my network outside my firewall. You would think taking a cable
and plugging it into the 10/100 5-port switch would work. I can take any
computer or laptop a...

Windows asking for WEP when should be WPA/PSK
Have just reinstalled XP on a Compaq Presario Laptop which uses a Vigor 540
cardbus wireless adapter to connect to a Vigo 2600Gi router. Where I have
to enter the network key it is expecting a WEP key, but the router is set up
for a WPA/PSK, so it obviously isn't accepting it. Is there somewhere I tell
windows it's WPA/PSK security?

Why does it keep doing this?...

Spontaneous loss of network connectivity
I have a Linksys wireless N set up and the wireless signal to noise
and bandwidth are excellent. I run a two-computer network system

Frequently (once or twice a day) one (called spare) loses the other
machine's network address. If I am in the middle of a file transfer,
it just stops. Sometimes Spare's windows firewall has been ...

I would like to purchase two Windows laptops and have them both use a

via USB/FireWire/Ethernet or is itself wireless, if such a beast exists).
And I would like to hav...

How to force multiple computers connect to the same AP all the time
Hello,
I have one printer connecting to a computer and it is shared with additional
4 computers in a wireless network. There are several APs that each computer
can establish its connection to go out to the Internet. When they are not
connecting to the same AP, they would be on different subnet; thus, they
could not see the shared printer.
How can I set/force all 5 computers to conn...

Signal suddenly very low or gone
Hi,
My Toshiba laptop (XP) is wirelessly connected to the Dell (XP) in the
adjacent room, via a Netgear router. My laptop contains a wireless card.
Distance between them is about 30 feet, with only a wall in between.
The signal has been "Excellent" for years, up until a few days ago, when it
suddenly was receiving very little signal, or no signal at all.
I've already read posts re...
