Help! Clients are off the network.
This is a Standard SBS2003 SP2, no ISA.
Last night I tried to change my servers configuration from a 2 nic to one.
I thought this was an easy thing to do but every time I think that it ends up
proving me wrong. I disabled the second nic and tried to run the CEICW and
it failed saying there was a DHCP scope issue so I changed the IP address of
the server and then disabled the Nic and r...

DNS event 113
I inherited a somewhat problematic SBS 2k3 R2 server from another IT company.
I have fixed all the event log issues with the exception of one. Whenever the
DNS server starts I get the following unusual event 113 in the DNS log: The
DNS server could not signal the service "NAT". The error was 1168. There may
be interoperability problems between the DNS service and this service.
There are...

Hi,
I run SBS 2003 R2. I created a GPO for the domain to update with the SBS
server, however no computers are displayed in the WSUS. On the client
computer, I noticed the Windows Update Service is disabled. Where should I
check?
Any help will be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Dhcp server not handing out adresses
Clients DHCP server is not handing out adresses. All seems to be configured
properly and DNS lists all IPs correctly--- apparently it worked at one time.
It will not repair clients or release/renew them. Once released they must
have IPs set manually to function...Here is a sample config from

Outlook HTTPS over RPC error - Inconsistent users

We have successfully implemented outlook over https for a while and it
works however some new users when setup cannot connect remotely. They
can access via OWA however they cannot connect via HTTPS. They normally
get the error 0x8004011D.
If they are on the LAN then no issues.

SBS 2008 migration - Update policies missing
I have successfully migrated from SBS 2003 to SBS 2008, however, the Update
Services Server Computers Policy is missing. (page 73 of the MS SBS 2008
migration guide).
As I understand this should be under Group Policy Objects; other policies
are present such as "windows SBS user policy".
WSUS seems to be working, however it has updates loaded for the old SBS 2003
server. However, cl...

Fake internal e-mails
I am annoyed at the amount of e-mails our users are getting that appear to
be coming from the internal network. They show they are sent from users
inside our network to users inside our network. This has happened in the
past, but it was usually one or two once in a blue moon. In the past week
or two, we are getting up to 50 a day.
Is there a way to prevent these?

"Trying to connect" issues off and on
Hi,
We were running a SBS 2003 (Standard) with Outlook 2003 and everything
was fine. I'm not sure why we're having "trying to connect" issues now,
but it seemed to appear after we upgraded to Office 2007 on the
workstations.
The office staff notices they connect fine in the morning, but after
more users log in, the problem develops. If I restart the Information
Store, it seems to let the f...
