Adobe Type 1 fonts & Creative Suite 2
I'm disappointed that my Type 1 fonts (I have about 1,200 total, but use
only groups at a time) no longer will work under Vista. I simply cannot
afford to replace them en masse with OpenType fonts. Is there no way of
converting them to OpenType? I realize this is also involves Adobe, but it's
still disappointing nonetheless.

Memory Diagnostic Fails - Computer shut's down
I try to run the Memory Diagnostic for Home Premium and the computer shuts

Optima Font
I purchased a font - Optima from Fonts.com and was using it well in XP.
Now that i have Vista it no longer recognizes this font?
I can't get any word from Fonts.com and I am needing to finish a project
with this font.
I really don't have any interest in purchasing the font again?

Cannot Install Windows Vista
When I attempted to install Vista on my HP laptop I received the following
error dialog:
"This disc contains a "UDF" file system and requires an operating system
that supports the ISO-13346 "UDF" file system specification."
This makes no sense as I'm trying to upgrade on a clean install of XP Pro
with all updates through today.
Ideas? Thanks.

Installation Vista Premium 64b on computer with 4Gb memory

An odd issue
I have the GEForce FX 550 video card with the latest vista driver installed.
A 3.2 Ghz Intel Pentium processor and 1 Gb of Ram.
When I boot up the system each time and every time the left side of the
monitor is black and the right side shows the desktop.I must then press the
refrsh button that is built into the monitor to get a normal screen across
the entire monitor.

Keyboard problem
Somehow when I'm working, I type a command, and my keyboard just beeps at me
whenever I try to type. I have to restart to get function back in my keys.

each time agreemetn with Word 2003/Vista
I have Vista with Office 2003. All perfectly legal. Everytime I open Word, I
get the message that I have to agree the license conditions first. I should
think once to be enough. And if I don't agree within a few seconds, the
application will stop working.
Why is this and how can I prevent losing the use of my legally obtained

Vista Reinstall Hangs - SATA?
Hi,.
After a few software issues I decided to reinstall Vista. Thinking that this
was previously the easiest OS I had ever installed I thought I’d just start
from scratch. I booted up XP Pro off a secondary HDD, and formatted the
entire HDD that Vista was on (NTFS).

Offline Servicing and SIM
Hi all,
I have a vista .wim file, on which i try to enable som windows features
offline. I used SIM to create the answer file, and pkgmgr to do the offline
servicing. That seems to be working according to the pkgmgr log file.
However, after I unmount (and commit) the .wim file, I opened it in SIM
again, and here is the strange thing: The windows feature I just enabled
still appear as ...

Cannot delete HKEY_...Error while deleting key in Vista Home Premium on an OEM (Dell) computer
I had a problem uninstalling McAfee so I could try reinstalling (which I was
also having trouble with). Since I had a problem deleting a registry key
they suggested I contact my OS vendor. My OS vendor (Dell, I believe) only
supports hardware issues.

Can't print from Dos program within Vista?
I have an RBase application I've been using for years and I have it now
running in Vista Business but I can not get it to print no matter what I
do. I have an HP960c Inkjet printer connect by USB. I have no LPT ports.
I have tried "net use LPT1 \\wizard\HP960c /persistent:yes" where wizard
is the machine name and HP960c is the printer name. I have even shared

going from Business to Home Premium?
Can I go from Vista Business to Home Premium? Business does not have the
Media Center options, and when I bought my pc, it was a MCE2005 pc. If I

PC Mover twitches & glitches
I'm on my new dell with Vista premium that I got from qvc. So far, working
fine but I moved all my files etc from my old Gateway with xp using the pc
mover software included with my computer and now have the following problems:

Upgrade canceled 0x80070005
went into my digital locker to start upgrade to windows ultimate from home
premium. I put in anytime time upgrade disk, and followed prompts. The

Reinstalling the system recovery files made just before system rec
Please can anyone help me with the following.
I have a HP laptop with Vista installed, and found today that it would not
boot up, so had to enter the system recovery procedure. I chose to back up
all of my files and these saved on to my portable storage drive, Vista

said that the XML file has 7 passes but it only pays attention to pass 4
(specialize) and pass 7 (OOBE). Also, this article mentions that certain
