Video lag in windows vista x64
Hi!
I just installed windows vista ultimate x64 on my PC and I've started
experiencing lag from time to time in videos I try to watch. (By closing
and reopening the video in VLC, it sometime plays normally (10% of the
time)). Also, the sound of the videos seems to be OK, only the images
lags behind at a less-than expected framerate. If I reboot my computer

Vista not playing audio CDs
Windows Vista is playing DVDs and recognizes data CDs but it will not
recognize a Music CD, I've searched the web and tried the regedits on the
Apple site in case it was an iTunes issue. I've wiped everything out and
reinstalled Vista but nothing has helped. If you have any suggestions for how
to get Music CDs to play in Vista it'd be much appreciated they used to but
not anymore......

Windows Photo Gallery
Whenever I use the slideshow feature for Windows Photo Gallery, the
pictures are way off the screen on the upper left hand side. The mouse
is over there as well, and everything is fine if I exit out of slide
show. Anyone know how to fix this?

Windows Movie Maker @ 60FPS, is it possible?
Hi guys, i was just wondering if its possible to change the codec on
windows movie maker and have 60fps on the output video, i do a lot of
gaming and encode a lot of videos, i have noticed that the output file
can only be encoded to 29.97fps on NTSC and PAL is 25fps, since we are

Capture device error Bad Pool Header and BSOD
My Dazzle Pinnacle capture device won't work. Pinnacle doesn't offer any tech
support for it and so far, I haven't found a fix on the Forum.
Can anyone help? I deleted the drivers folder, downloaded and installed
14.0.0.162 (32 bit) for my dvc 170 capture device to use on Vista. When I

Play DVDs on RealPlayer or VLC Players?
As was posted earlier, my Vista Home Premium will not play DVDs in Media
Player like it's supposed to (colored, blocky video). It may be the CODECS,
but I'll play with that later. Meanwhile, can I download free RealPlayer or
VLC and play DVDs, or do these need an extra set of CODECS to play
commercial DVDs?

Video Thumbnails Not Always Shown
Looking for advice or assistance regarding thumbnail display in Vista-64
environment. Currently have about 200 short video files that are mostly
MPG format, but some AVI and MOV. In all cases, I may or may not get a

WMP Sharing Stopped Working
Hi all
For ages and ages I have shared my media on my Windows Vista Ultimate
64 PC with my XBOX. To do this I go in to WMP and share my media (audio,
pics and vid). I went to watch a video the other night and it turns out
the reason it didn't work was because Media Sharing has been stopped.

Need Help Copying a DVD
I want to copy dvd and really don't know where to start.
Can I use an applet that came with Vista Home Premium to do this?
I've tried DVD Maker and Movie Maker but I haven't had any luck.
I don't want to install a full-fledged suite to do this.

Slide Show Jittering Transitions.
When playing Slideshow there is a stuttering between transitions. Have
been to MS site, their suggestions made no difference. Transitions are
ok when viewing through Media Centre.

editing a dvd-rw
I copied a video from tv onto computer, then put on dvd-rw, and erased video
from computer. Then I noticed there are a lot of commercials. Can I edit
them out? With what Program? I used Windows Media Center to download movie
from tv and copy to disc. I have Vista Ultimate 32. Please advise.

Audio aout of sync on burned DVD...
Hi all,
I'm testing Windows Media Center. I recorded a tv show. The recorded
shows looks great using both windows media player and windows media
center. Then I burned a DVD from the recorded show. All made from
inside Windows Media Center. When playing the resulting DVD on a

CP problem with media player with generic monitor
Vista 32bit sp1:
Main monitor is a older CRT and I have disabled EDID (with needle nose
pliers) in order to get the high resolution I need in vista. The problem
with this is that when in clone mode (with a flat panel tv) media player
refuses to play DVDs due to content protection. I think this is a built in
restriction with monitors that won't plug and play, in this case my generic
monitor...

Windows Movie Maker does not Publish all of video using .WMV files
The video runs nicely until it hits a certain clip and then it goes black. I
used .WMV files for the entire clip. I read the file type compatibility
articles. According to them, this should publish. I have constantly had
issues with Windows Movie Maker Vista, but these sort of problems do not

Trouble with alphabetical order in my Photos folder
Anyone....
I have a lot of pictures on my computer, all in their perspective
folders named for the year they where taken. I have selected all and
renamed the pictures every time I add new pictures.
Example: Myfamily 2008.....
It will then name all my picture Myfamily 2008, Myfamily 2008 (1),
Myfamily 2008 (2) and so on....but will then put the first picture

Cant Play DVDs
hey merry xmas to all. now i cant seem to play regular DVDs on windows media
player 11, i have installed a divx codec pack but to no avail. my other comp
runs xp with media player 10 i think and no probs? also is there anyway i can

Vista32: dvd playback degraded?
I'm seeing that standard commercial dvd plays back with some jagged edges
in vista. Monitor is a 42" 1080p HDTV. Playing the same dvd in xp on the
same machine (it's dual boot) shows no jagged edges. Could I be seeing the
effects of vista content degradation due to drm? Tests are done with the

No Windows DVD Maker
Hi, I'm a new boy on the block!
My computer runs Vista Business. This includes Windows Movie Maker but
NOT Windows DVD Maker.
How/where can I download the proper Windows DVD Maker so that it
intergrates into Movie Maker? Can this bo obtained free? If not, at

Windows Media Player 11 Unable to start
I have windows Media Player 11 and since yesterday every time that I try
to use it after I start IE7 stop working WMP11 I try to fix it. I try
the following
- Click *Start*, click *Run*, type regsvr32 jscript.dll, and then
click *OK*.
- Click *Start*, click *Run*, type regsvr32 vbscript.dll, and then
click *OK*.

wmm to avi, cant do it
I cant burn a DVD when i click on publish a movie. the DVD option is not
there. i do have a dvd burner and it works ik.

WMP11 .flv problem
I have Vista x64 with this player. I use vista codecs with x64
components and using my x64 player as default. This vista codecs fully
support flv files. But when i add a file type .flv in library it can
play it well but it detects it as o seconds no matter how long is the
file. This doesnt occur in winamp, or even in windows live galery or
windows media center.

WMP 11 is missing or gone cannot use it :(
I need help on how to like fix or uninstall or something for windows
media player 11, one thing is that when I try to open it nothing
happens, or double click on a mp3 file or a movie file it loads then

Adobe Premiere Elements 4 - Audio won't play
I have Adobe Premiere Elements 4 preinstalled on my Dell computer.
