disk space issue....
About six weeks ago i accidentally used Windows System Restore (instead of
System Recovery like i wanted). My save point is Sept. 7th, i cannot back up
any further than that date. The problem is, everything i had on my computer
(all files and programs) seems to still be taking up space on my C-drive,
although i cant access any of it to erase it. I currently only have 1% disk

security question regarding opening up ports
I'm trying to setup a small network to allow multiple users to remote in
using Windows XP remote desktop. The router in the office allows vpn
passthrough. I was able to setup VPN server/client but this allowed only a
single remote desktop connection. I googled it and are now planning on using
port forwarding starting at 3389 (standard remote deskop port) and up. For

XP crashes/reboots if RDC 5 connection after an RDC 6 connection
Finally put 2 & 2 together on this one...
If I RDC into my XP SP3 system with a system running RDC 5 (XP SP2)
*AFTER* I have connected to it with an RDC 6 (Vista SP1) system the
remote system crashes & reboots.
Other than upgrading the XP Host I sometimes connect from to RDC 6,
what else should I look into?...

Creating Remote Assistence by Command-Line
Hello guys!
I would like to know how to create a remote assistence by command-line in
Windows XP instead creating by standard procedure (Start-Help and
Support-Invite a friend to connect to...).
I know in Windows Vista there is "msra.exe" utility and I would like to know

Remote Assistance Failure
When I attempt to login into a specific machine using Remote Assistance -

that is requesting me for assitance is running the same Windows XP Pro SP3

Automatic restart after power failure?

Remote desktop Web Connect
I set-up RDT Web Connect and it appears that I am connecting. After clicking
the connect button the TSWeb page, I connect and get the windows log in box.
My user name populates, but when I put in the password to log on, i receive
an error that say "the system cannot log you on. Make sure the user name and
domain are correct..."
I can access the remote machine using the RDT client, so...

Hello!
Fix I found for the issue requires you:
1) open Task Manager
2) go to Process tab
3) kill rdpclip.exe
4) click New task (run)
5) put in rdpclip.exe
This should do.

CompanyWeb Disappeared! Help!

Can Not RDP to XP.
I connect to an XP mention from another XP machine in my house. This worked
great until recently. Now I get the message. "The client could not connect.
You are already connected to the console of this computer. A new console
session cannot be established."
In Win2003 I can open up the TS mmc and release the user showing connected
but I can't seem to figure out how to do this in XP?...

Outlook doesn't respond to keystrokes/mouse when returning from RD session on full-screen second monitor

Offline folders in a remote site
Hi,
We have two sites with the same domain connected via T1 connection.
When users from one site are in the other site their laptops
(configured with redirected "My Document") will try to load their

RunAs doesn't work via RDP
I regularly RDP via VPN from my home XP Pro to my office XP Pro.
I use VB6 on my office PC and sometimes need to use it with my
administrative account so I use RunAs via the right-click method.
When I do RunAs of VB6, my explorer locks up with some broken graphics on
